Fish Cocktail A5 Print

This design is from ‘Lesson 1’ and is a nod to the antique Gluggle (or gurgling fish) jugs that are prominent within the kitsch community. I chose to fill mine with cocktail sticks topped with olives and jewels, keeping with the surreal aesthetic, alongside chocolate covered strawberries and an assortment of vegetables and cheese. I imagined the jug as a fun, practical trinket dish, inspired by the iconic Gluggle jug but with my own quirky twist. It is part of the ‘Life can be unpredictable, but it can also be beautiful’ lesson, which features an array of quirky and slightly wacky things. It is a colourful and playful piece that, in my opinion, would make a unique addition to any maximalist kitchen.
