This design is from ‘Lesson 2’ and describes the feeling of finally feeling at home in the life you have always wanted to live. It is about reaching that special place as an adult that you once imagined for yourself as a child. As a Scottish girl from the Highlands, I always loved the beauty of home, but I often felt as though I didn’t quite fit in because of my colourful aesthetic and my longing for a creative scene. When I moved to East London, I found that scene and fell in love with it. Now, home for me is split between two places: the beautiful landscapes of the Scottish Highlands and the vibrant, urban artistic scene of London. This piece represents that feeling of finding where you belong and creating a life that feels like home.
